Total Cost of Ownership for the Color Laser Printer Total cost of ownership consists of multiple factors that should be taken into consideration; initial cost, ink or toner cartridges costs, whether you can use refilled or re-manufactured cartridges or whether you are stuck with the Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) ones and finally the number of prints per cycle. The number of prints per cycle is the number of pages you get for each set of ink or toner. What did I find? Well, you can imagine my surprise when I started looking at desktop color laser printers in todays market and found that some of the new breed of desktop color laser printer had an initial price point that would seem to keep it from consideration but after closer review the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) on the high-end gave those desktop color laser printers a lower TCO than the lower-end or the current breed of desktop inkjet printers. And, when all TCO factors were tabulated, the medium to high-end desktop color printer of the laser variety was actually much cheaper over the expected life span of that printer. Add a service contract onto the end of the manufacturers base warranty and the TCO number decreased even more substantially. There is a never-ending supply of TCO information and comparisons of TCO between the desktop color laser printer and inkjet printers on the Internet. I can tell you that what helped me the most was looking at Total Cost of Ownership tools and running the numbers to find the most reasonable desktop color laser printer that also offered the lowest cost toner cartridges, duplex printing and all of the network connections I wanted. Coloring can also be used as a great reward for a job well done. Most preschoolers love to color because it gives them a chance to control something and to express themselves. If you have had a particularly long lesson on numbers or letters reward the students by allowing them to color their favorite animals. Soon you will find that the children will ask to color when they have done a good job with something. Encourage the creative side of preschoolers by allowing them to color in whatever fashion they choose. Coloring gives kids a chance to express their personalities and fears. You might also encourage a budding artist by allowing for more coloring time. If a child seems to show a love for coloring support their interest. Help them to see that there is a positive link between coloring, working, and producing something beautiful.
The Color Psychology of Green Green is a symbol of the natural world. This is a great color for a candidate that has made environmental issues an important part of the campaign. For a one color sign, using a dark green background and white letters presents a sharp, professional look inexpensively while communicating the importance of environmental issues to the candidate. Unlike some more subtle elements of color psychology with other colors, many voters will make the connection between a green yard sign and the environment as they will with a blue sign for a Democrat and red one for a Republican candidate. The Color Psychology of Yellow Yellow is the most visible color. It is bright and cheery. Because of these qualities it draws attention unlike any other color. It is a great choice for campaign yard signs particularly as a background with black text. Yellow, however, works well in combination with a number of other colors including brown, purple, blue and green.

Digital photos are built of many pixels. Each pixel has a unique value which represents its color. When you are looking at a digital photo your eyes and brain merge these pixels into one continuous digital photo. Each pixel has a color value that is one out of a finite number of possible colors - this number is known as color depth. Each pixel has a color value that is one out of a palette of unique colors. The number of such unique potential colors is known as color depth. Color depth is also known as bit depth or bits per pixel since a certain number of bits are used to represent a color and there is a direct correlation between the number of such bits and the number of possible unique colors. For example if a pixel color is represented by one bit - one bit per pixel or a bit depth of 1 - the pixel can have only two unique values or two unique colors - usually these colors will be black or white.
